The Beach

When we went to Florida, we decided we should take Sophia to the beach even if it was only for a little while. We spent about 1 1/2 hours there and it was worth every second. Last year in NC, she was afraid of the water and not that into the sand. What a difference a year makes! She had a great time looking for shells, playing in the sand, jumping waves, and letting her feet sink in the sand. It was so much fun. It reminded me of all the great times you have as a child at the beach rolling around in the sand with no thought to your appearance or how dirty you are getting. It was just wonderful to relive that again with SGC. When we got back to my Aunt and Uncle's house I was shaking out our beach towels before putting them into the washer and Sophia's swimsuit had about 2 times more sand than in any of the towels. I still don't understand how her tiny weeny yellow bikini held that much sand.

Getting used to the beach Getting in the waves with Daddy. Within a few minutes, she was a huge fan. Jumping the waves with Daddy Looking for shells Playing in the sand Check out that beach babe! Cheese!
