Sleepy Girl

On Sunday, Sophia decided it would be fun to refuse to take a nap. We tried for 2 hours off and on and she never slept. Not even for a minute. So, I gave up and let her play. Then it was lunch time. She was enjoying her chicken, strawberries, and pineapple but began looking very sleepy. She ended up falling asleep with chicken in her mouth. I had to snap a few pics before fishing the chicken out and taking her to bed. What a goofy girl.

Driving Miss Sophia

Ms. Amy is letting Sophia borrow Dusty's car for a while. Sophia loves it. She has been out on it twice. The first time she had one hand on the wheel and the other on the side of the car, just relaxing. The next day she had both hands on the wheel but would use one hand to wave at the neighbors or to beep her horn. How do they know to put their hands on the wheel? It is a mystery to me. She sits in the car with her back to us but yet she knows just what to do. So weird. But man, does she have fun. Thanks Dusty and Amy!!

Goofing off

Sophia loves to goof off and have fun. She is such a happy girl. She does some of the craziest stuff though. All these pictures were taken in about 10 minutes. She is nuts and just never stops.

Licking the tile floor. What fun!!

Mornings with MaMa

I love lazy mornings with Sophia. She is wild and crazy and so much fun. She is such a sweet little girl but just loves to get into everything. It is hard to keep up with her but I got her to pause for 1 second with the phone in her hand to snap this shot.

Hello?!

This girl loves the phone. Any time she sees either a corded, cordless, or cell phone she has got to have it. At first it was cute, now it is annoying. I can hardly tear them out of her grubby little paws. And then there's the screaming, and crying, and throwing herself on the floor, and yes, real tears (Yeah, she's only 11 months old!) But I thought I would snap a couple of pictures before the fit to let you see how happy she is when she's got a phone in her hands.

Is that Elton John???

On Saturday, after we finished eating, I think that we had an Elton John sighting. What do you think????

Young Elton

Is it Elton or Libby in disguise?

Cory's First Father's Day

Just wanted to include a couple of pictures of Cory and his girl to show how much they both love eachother. They are so cute together. Most of the time you can find them giggling together. She loves to use him to climb all over. She is lucky to have a Daddy that adores her as much as Cory does. I love you both!!!

They love napping together. She sleeps so well with her Daddy.

Giggling together

Can you see the resemblence?

Boy, that girl loves her Daddy!

Happy Pardie's Day

We met Pardie and MiMi for lunch today. Sophia loves seeing both of them. She immediately lights up whenever she is around them. She is a lucky girl to have such loving grandparents.

Lucky Girls

Angie, Libby, Sophia, and I are so lucky to have great husbands/dads in our lives. We really appreciate all the love that our men shower upon our little girls. It is so sweet to see them with their Daddys. Thanks Gary and Cory for being so great! Happy 1st Fathers Day!!

Weekend at the Lake

This Saturday Cory, Sophia, and I joined the Banets at their lake house. We had a great time. Sophia enjoyed her time on the boat, we swam in the lake, Sophia got her first taste of carrot cake (which we figured out was both a vegetable and dairy), the girls swang on the swings, and played together. Thanks Banets for inviting us.

Zoo Pals

On Friday, Jill, Angie, and I took the girls to the zoo. We all had so much fun. The girls enjoyed the new water park. While the little girls tried out the toddler section, Kayla joined the big kids. Thanks for the great afternoon girls.

Birthday Girl

On Saturday Cory and I drove to Indy to celebrate Jessica's 30th birthday. We went out to eat, did some bowling, and hung out at one of her friend's houses. It was a great time. I hope you had a wonderful birthday Jessica. Thanks for inviting us.

The Birthday Girl in all her splendor. Check out that wave!

Happy Birthday to You!!

McDonalds Breakfast

On Saturday morning Cory and I took Sophia to her first McDonald's breakfast. She loved it. She ate pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, and a biscuit with grape jelly. Unfortunately they did not have any of those plastic McDonalds bibs.....that would have made a great blog picture. Oh, well. Maybe next time.

Yummy, Yummy in my tummy!

All wired up on sugar from syrup and jelly.

Rub-a-Dub-Dub, 2 Little Girls in the Tub

After all that hard playing, the girls needed a bath. We decided to put them both in together. They had a blast splashing eachother and pouring water on eachother. They were so cute.

Playing with toys

Well, this was supposed to be a cute picture. Instead both girls decided that they didn't want to go to bed and cried until I got them out of the crib.Poor girls. Don't worry. After bottles, they went right to sleep with no cries.

Sleep Over

On Friday, Libby came over for a semi-sleep over. Angie and Gary were playing a softball double header so we got to keep Libby. The girls had so much fun playing together. Sophia loved showing off her toys. We had such a good time with the two girls. You are welcome over here any time, Libby.
