Busy little Girl

Now that Sophia is walking around everywhere, it is difficult to do even the easiest of tasks like get undressed to take a bath. I thought I would take a couple of pictures of her running away from me. She is so cute.

Weekend at the Banets

This weekend, we were invited to the Banet's lake house. We had a great time. Sophia, Libby, and Kayla were so cute together. Kayla was always helping the girls and handing them new toys to play with. Sophia loved the boat rides. She was asleep in no time. Thanks for inviting us to your beautiful lake house Angie, Gary, and Libby.

Tea Party

Last weekend my mom was in Pennsylvania visiting her mother so we had Mother's Day with Blarnie on Friday. Sophia and I took her for a tea party. We had a great time and Sophia loved all the little sandwiches and cakes. She even had a sample of mango tea. She loved that too. I think she looks like a little princess in her dress.

After Tea, we all put on boas and smiled for the camera. We had such a fun afternoon.

Beautiful Roses

Cory and Sophia got some beautiful roses for me for Mother's Day. I thought I would attempt to be like you, John Rougeux, but I think your pictures are way better. But I still wanted to post them to show you my efforts.

Mother's Day

For this Mother's Day we had Cory's family over for a cookout. We had a lot of fun with everyone there and Sophia loved all the attention. Her cousin, Shane, plays so well with her. She loves it.

Eden Bear

Cory got Sophia a teddy bear for Christmas this year. She loves that bear. It is, by far, her favorite. We call him/her Eden because, well, that is the brand name. Here are a couple pictures of her sleeping with Eden and a pink bear from Grammie. It is so cute how much she has become attached to that bear. When she wakes up in the morning or from a nap you can find her sitting in bed talking to Eden. She is so grown up.

Strawberry Shortcake Playroom

We finally got a space carved out for Sophia's playroom. She has been having so much fun in there. She just goes from one toy to the next. She really loves the bins. She likes to empty one, then start on another. And Mom and Dad like that the mess is pretty much contained in on room. I went with a mild theme of Strawberry Shortcake. I didn't go crazy with it, just a little. After all, who knows what she is going to like. Here are some pictures of her playing in her new playroom.

Shane's 7th Birthday

Saturday was Sophia's cousin, Shane's, birthday. We had a lot of fun at the party and Shane got some cool gifts. The highlight of the party was the Spongebob pinata. The kids had so much fun beating it in order to get the candy. Sophia got to enjoy birthday cake. Boy does she love chocolate and ice cream.

Happy Birthday Shane

The Oaks

Pardie got tickets for the four of us to go to the Oaks. None of us had ever been before, so we were all excited. The weather was rainy, but we still had fun. It's hard to believe so much excitement for a horse race!?! I loved people watching and checked out plenty of cool hats.

Drinking a Lily: The official drink of the Oaks

What do you do when it rains at the Oaks? Do you go home? NO!!!! You put on an oversized Ziploc bag (aka pancho), look ridulous along with everyone else, and yell for your horse.

But what about your expensive hat? Someone has the right idea.

It's fun to Garden

Today was so beautiful, I decided to let Sophia play in her new garden. Angie and I had a wonderful time garage sale shopping on Saturday and I scored this cute little garden thanks to Angie's exceptional bargaining skills. Sophia just loves it. She can be in there by herself and hold onto the sides for support. She had so much fun planting, pulling, and replanting the vegetables. And she does look so good with her headband. You have to keep your hair out of your eyes when you garden.
