Halloween Zoo Party

On Sunday we went to the zoo for their Halloween party with Kevin, Shannon, Allie, J.P., Jill, Kayla, Gary, Angie, and Libby Grace. I don't know how much the little girls got out of it, but it was a beautiful day and they enjoyed their candy. Sophia enjoyed a Tootsie Roll (which she loved) and then had her first lollipop. She had grape lollipop juice everywhere. In her hair, her forehead, hands, cheeks, mouth, arms........ It was a mess but she loved it. Afterwards we went out to eat at a great restaurant that Shannon recommended. Cory had a religious experience with his cheeseburger which he is still talking about. I am sure we will return on a Monday when they are only $2. Thanks everyone for a great time!

Reunion

Julia and Gilberto are in town for her 10 year reunion. Tonight they got all dressed up and headed to the Culbertson Mansion. I decided it was similar to the prom and so they needed their picture taken. They looked great. I hope they have a wonderful time.

I had to include this next picture. For those of you that don't know, my sister has a little thing for shoes. She has well over 100 pairs. It is crazy. For her reunion she decided to go all out and buy the most expensive pair ever. That is saying something too. So, I thought they should be mentioned on the blog. They are pretty. I'll give her that.

Harvest Homecoming

After we picked up Gilberto and Julia from the airport, we went to H.H. for lunch. It was so good. We made our way to our favorite booths and ate. Sophia sampled some gyro. She liked it. Then we made it to the donut booth. How can you pass it up? Sophia really liked those. She had icing all over her face. It covered her mouth, cheeks, nose, and even eyelashes. We had a lot of fun.

Gymnastics

Sophia is getting ready for gymnastics in 2 weeks. We tried on her new outfit and she loved it. She kept running her hands up and down the sleeves saying "Ooohhh! Ooohhh!" Then she put her hands up in the air and posed. I am pretty sure that she is going to be a hoot during the actual lessons. I just hope she listens and waits her turn.

Applesauce

Ever since I was a baby, I have been enjoying homemade applesauce. I didn't even know it was possible to buy applesauce until I was in junior high. Last year Mom and I missed our annual applesauce making festival since I was in Florida. We made up for it this year. Between the two of us we bought about 50 pounds of apples. How much applesauce does that make???? About 140 cups of applesauce (give or take). Of course, some of that has Libby Grace's name on it.

Eating out

After I was going through pictures of this weekend, I realized how much eating out we did. Not the most healthy but sometimes necessary. After McDonalds for lunch, Sophia enjoyed some Fazolis. She ate a whole piece of pizza. It is so weird to order her a meal instead of just having her eat off my plate. She is getting so big!!

I love Breadsticks!!!

Her new thing is "That's hot". She says it about everything. Then you have to blow on the food. Then she blows on it. Here Daddy is helping her out.

Nothing like Daddy love

After church, Blarnie and Pardie took us to Dennys. Gotta love the grand slam! What's better than a grand slam breakfast? Well, a grand slam breakfast followed with a hot fudge sunday. Sophia is a lucky girl!

Ice cream for breakfast? Breakfast of champions.

I can't tell if she is just relaxing or needs to move around to make room for more ice cream.

Garage Sale

Several months ago Angie introduced me to the joys of garage sale shopping. We have such a wonderful time together. As we drive past houses we have our eyes peeled for toys and pink. It is really ridiculous. This Saturday morning I took a few hours off the couch and went garage sale-ing with Angie and Libby. We had a great time and got some good deals.

One thing Angie was looking for was a toddler bed for her lake house. We found one, a great deal, but had a little trouble getting it in the car. After a lot of different trys we found the solution. It was interesting. Don't worry. No children were harmed and it only lasted less than 5 minutes. Poor Libby. She was such a trooper.

Libby in her "cage"

We discovered a hidden talent of Libby's. She enjoyed a fruit bar (kind of like a fruit roll-up) for the first time. She can really eat them fast. I think her record is three bites. Unbelievable. She is so cute!

After the shopping we enjoyed a lunch at McDonalds. It was a great morning. Thanks for hanging out Angie and Libby!

Brianna's Birthday

On Friday evening we drove out to Tonja's house for Brianna's 14th birthday. There were several 14 year old girls there and it brought back a lot of memories. There was pink hair dye, glittter hair spray and body spray, pizza, cake, ice cream, pjs, horror movies, and even a little drama. Man am I glad that I am not 14 anymore.

Sophia thought she was big stuff. I am sure that she would have let them spray her hair too. We had a good time. Happy Birthday Brianna!
