Chicago Trip...Kindof

This weekend Julie and I met in Chicago for a short weekend getaway. She had some business to do on Friday afternoon and I went along for the ride. We never actually went to downtown Chicago. We stayed in a suburb named, Schaumburg. Chicago is SO much more expensive and who wants to deal with the traffic??

We went out for dinner, did some shopping, and both had massages. It was my first massage ever and Julie's first pregnancy massage. It was a perfect way to relax before we hit the mall. We found some cute things for the girls. (It's so fun to say that.) Julie is already starting the "mom" shopping. She got maybe 2 things for her and the rest for little Eva. I can't wait until Eva is born. I am hoping to be her favorite aunt. (and I'm willing to do almost anything to make that happen)
Thanks for the invite Julie. I had a lot of fun.
Dinner was at Shaw's Crab House. It was a little more pricey than advertised but very good.
No, it was not planned that we both wear purple.
Sisters
My $10 "glass" of wine. Where was the rest of it?
Matching PJ pants. Brings back a lot of memories of our childhood.

We got up early on Saturday and went for our massages. Afterwards we went for breakfast at this little local place. It was packed. We got in just in time. The food was excellent.
Feeling relaxed after our massage.
Yummy breakfast

Julie manning the TomTom. We couldn't have made it without him.

After breakfast, we took showers and went shopping. We shopped right up until we needed to leave for the airport. We both got some good deals especially several $1 pair of shoes for baby Eva. I had no time to take pictures of the shopping. That is serious business.
