We just got back from a long weekend at Disney World and had a great time. No time to post right now, but I just wanted to give one picture. I promise there will be more to follow. Stay tuned....

TiggaPooh

That's how Sophia refers to the show, "My friends, Tigger and Pooh". Man, she loves that show. She was enjoying watching the show today with her TiggaPooh blanket. She was so into the show she didn't even notice that I was taking pictures.

Saturday Night Dinner

We decided to go to Cheddars this Saturday for some dinner. Sophia loved looking at the fish in the huge fish tank. She even saw some baby fish. She was very well behaved but at some point a girl needs to get down and walk. She does a great job eating on the run.

Anyone want some french fries??
Cleaning up after dinner.

Pictures of Cory and I. What a bunch of 4 eyes. Cory's looking hot in his new glasses.

Sophia's self portrait. She looks really weird in the first one and didn't quite get herself in the picture the second time. Hey, we've all been there.

Julie's Birthday

We were lucky enough with the timing of the shower to celebrate Julie's birthday on Sunday. We went out to a fancy restaraunt for breakfast. While we were waiting, Sophia stopped and posed for some pictures.

Getting excited waiting for our food. It was delicious. (Sophia's newest word is delicious. It sounds more like 'licious.)
Sophia looking super cool on the way home in her shades.
Later after dinner (man we eat a lot), Julie opened presents. Blarnie, Pardie, Cory, and I all went in together to get Julie a video camera. Sophia was thoughtful enough to get some video tapes. That girl is always thinking.
Julie wearing the "Awesome Aunt" sticker that came in her birthday card from Sophia.
Yeah!! A camera!!
Sophia decorating herself with stickers from Aunt Juju's card.

Eva, Come on down!!

Yeah, it's been a while. Last weekend Sophia and I went to Texas to throw my sister a baby shower. We had a great time with her and I think the shower went well. Friends of theirs, Jenny and Jorge, offered to let us hold the shower at their house (thanks guys). It was a beautiful home and perfect for a party.

The cute couple

We had Texas brisket for dinner. Can you believe my mom made the fruit centerpiece? It looks professional. Lets not forget the 3 different types of cupcakes.

Enjoying dinner

I'm not exactly sure what game Sophia was planning on playing, but she looks good anyway.

Playing catch with her cousing Suzie.

After dinner we played the first game. We divided into teams and raced to see which team could dress the baby the fastest. Everyone was a good sport about playing which made the game so much fun.

Gilbert had some difficulty at first and was very happy when he was done dressing the baby.

Aunt Cheryl dressing the baby like a pro.
Aaawww!

Julie feeling the pressure of a "friendly" competition.

Sophia trying her hand at the game.

The cute couple after the first game.

Next up was pictionary. I didn't get many pictures of this game but people seemed to enjoy it.

Suzie teaching Sophia about the stars and moon.

Sophia was running up and down the hall trying to keep herself awake during the presents. Julia and Gilbert got a lot of great gifts.

Mom, Sophia, and I had a great time planning and putting together the shower for Eva. We can't wait to meet her!!

Is that Mia Hamm?

Sophia has really enjoyed the nice weather we have been having (finally). We have been spending a lot of time outside which has made bedtime so much easier. Today she was showing off her soccer skills. She is really quite the prodigy.

You'll notice that Chloe is never far behind and always willing to help.
This is a short video showcasing her soccer skills. Our yard is pretty overgrown and leafy. Last fall my back was out and so I was not able to take care of it but we are slowly and surely making progress one 5 minute work break at a time. But just ignore that and let Sophia's fabulous soccer skills wow and amaze you.
