Sophia has been complaining that her tennis shoes hurt for about a week, so we decided to go out tonight to get her some more shoes. Now, she is in a phase where she says everything hurts. All the time. Making a night of this reminded me of going to get shoes when I was young. Back in the olden days. I remember getting dressed up in a dress (can you even picture it?), with ponytails with matching ribbons, and lace socks just to go to the Stride Rite store. Well, we didn't get dressed up or anything (my hair was brushed though), and went to California Pizza Kitchen first. Sophia loved their mac and cheese. She just loves mac and cheese. I wanted to get a couple of pictures of her because she looked so darn cute with her two ponytails. Notice the matching holders.
Her tennis shoes were a size 5. We have been putting her in other shoes which are also a size 5 with no complaints from her at all. Want to guess what size of shoes she needed????
6 1/2!!!
Boy, do I feel like the worst mother ever!!! And it was so nice of the 15 year old salesperson to point out that she had little indents on her feet from her little mary jane shoes. Thanks. Her foot always went in the shoes okay. I sure do wish that child would give me a heads up. Oh, well. Guess I'll know for next time.
On the way home she pulled out her ponytails. It made her hair look like a mushroom.
She is very proud of her new shoes. Probably because her foot isn't all squished in them. She loves to model shoes. I think she pretty much has it down pat. What do you think Aunt Juju?
We are such big dorks that Cory and I were very excited all day because today there was a new episode of "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" on Disney Channel. (As I type, Cory is singing the opening song of the show.) All that excitement today must have worn Cory out because he fell asleep while watching the new episode. Can you believe it??
